• Sunburn or Windburn: If the skin is sunburned, windburned, or otherwise damaged, dermaplaning may cause further irritation and delay healing.

• Recent Facial Treatments: People who have had chemical peels, laser treatments, or microdermabrasion in the past 2-4 weeks should wait until their skin has fully healed before trying dermaplaning.

• Active Skin Infections: Anyone with an active skin infection (such as cold sores or impetigo) should avoid dermaplaning, as it can spread the infection.
